SURPRISE! I HAVE RETURNED.........
Surprise !! Heard from a few friends that expressed to me, that they were "slightly" disappointed that I had elected to discontinue, the 2014-2015 holiday blog? It seems that some followers new to "blog following" were unaware of the ability [but not mandatory] to register as a follower, which indicates to the author that at least he/she has someone occasionally looking at the blog. With two followers, I thought it was of little interest, therefor figured, I may as well spend the time finding other entertainment!
I was without internet connection for a 2 week period that was spent outside of Bogota, while in Anapoima, Colombia. Anapoima is a small Village where Fernando has a beautiful warm weather family retreat, sleeps 15!
Arthur and Junior, are always "clean and proper" to meet the visiting Grandparents from Suwanee, Georgia.
Unlike Bogota, Anapoima has constant year around temperatures of 80 degrees or warmer, with sunshine nearly every day of the year! Pool, Hot Tub, Palm trees, Mountain Views and great family caretakers that tend to all needs. The property has been in the family for years and was purchased by Fernando from his now deceased Father, Chepe, several years ago. Nada and I, have had opportunity and pleasure, to visit this family "resort" nearly every time we have visited Colombia over the last 25 years.
Ok, so what have we been doing since leaving Suwanee for our Christmas 2014 and New Years 2015 family holidays. We would like to share via a few pictures that follow. I will keep commentary
SHORT ! I will start at the beginning, Christmas !

Thanks to my Two followers !
Unfortunately, or maybe it is fortunate, There has been virtually no interest [Followers signed-in] with this current "blog". Due to the fact, it is a time and labor proposition, relative to posting both pictures and comment, I have decided to discontinue the "2014-15 Christmas in Colombia Blog".
I will likely continue to maintain some current postings on my facebook page.

Christmas has arrived! Yesterday was "full of last minute chaotic" preparations. No matter all assurances from Daughter Lorelle and Nada, they are always expending super efforts to finalize the traditional Christmas Eve Dinner. guys in reserve. What a feast it was! Unlike years before, we actually decided to purchase a Colombian turkey! For all the past 20 odd years, It was always an American Turkey. Various methods and variety of transportation modes were used to make sure that Tom Turkey had been born and raised in America! Usually it was a question of the larger size of turkey grown in Colombia was not available! This year, it was determined that such a large size turkey would not be required, so a turkey of Colombian descent was used. It was delicious! That puts an end to the overcharge baggage fees that Delta Airlines has benefited from, all these years.
Ok, on the subject of food, Fernando was overjoyed with one of his surprises under the tree this morning ! Lorelle, solved her most perplexing questions. What to give Fernando? Here is a picture of a very happy husband!

As you might suspect after viewing this photo, I am adjusting to the high altitude [close to 9,000 feet] in Bogota, by taking it easy and accepting the temporary responsibility of dog sitting. Pictured are Junior and Artie, who requires that you hold him down. They are quite ambitious and not an easy job!
Below is a scene of the type of entrepuenship opportunities that exist for retirees. This guy has it all! And it is door to door.
